The Paris Peace Summit came to a close in the French capital Saturday, Nov. 11. Several themes focused on the world's ongoing energy transformation, a period in which the mining sector is crucial, as certain metals are needed to build green energy-producing tools such as solar panels and others. But this sector is seen as polluting, corrupt and violating human rights, particularly in Africa.
